Hello Lovelies!
Today I'm going to be sharing with you one of my favorite homemade face masks! It works great to help clean your skin and is super easy, requiring only a few ingredients! Let's get started!
You'll Need:
1 teaspoon cocoa powder
1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
1 Tablespoon honey
1/4 teaspoon coconut oil (optional)
Mix all ingredients together. Make sure your face is clean of any makeup or oils. I like to warm a cloth with water and hold it on my clean face first, to help open the pores. Then just spread your spiced chocolate mask all over your face! I find it easiest to use the back of a spoon to spread it. Fingers work okay but not as well as a spoon, as this is a sticky mask! Depending on the consistency, it may drip a little so make sure you're wearing something you don't mind dirtying. Don't worry, it'll wash out though. ; ) Let your mask set for 15 to 30 minutes, the longer the better. Then gently wash off with warm water. You can finish up with a simple sugar scrub or just add your moisturizer! I like to do masks and scrubs at night, before bed. Our skin has a higher cell turn over rate at night, so it better responds to any treatment or moisturizer you apply before sleeping! You're on your way to clearer skin!
1 teaspoon cocoa powder
1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
1 Tablespoon honey
1/4 teaspoon coconut oil (optional)
Here's how it works: cinnamon can help dry up acne and bring blood to the surface of the skin for plumping. Cinnamon and nutmeg have strong anti-fungal and antimicrobial properties, which can help reduce infection and clogged pores. Honey helps to heal your skin by killing bacteria. This helps reduce swelling and scarring because your skin heals quicker. Honey is also a great moisturizer, helping your skin lock in and retain that moisture. Cocoa is an antioxidant that repairs damaged skin and softens. Finally, coconut oil works as a moisturizer too, with anti-aging properties. After all that, what are you waiting for?! Give this mask a try and let me know if you love it as much as I do!
